Not sure if it’s just our school, or if something within APS changed in the past two years, but my fifth grader has not had any puberty/reproduction education from APS like my older child had in both fourth and fifth grade. Obviously we have discussed these things at home, but wondering what the deal is with that? I assumed last year was because of Covid/not all kids being in person. My kids teacher is new and has no clue. |
Btw I know that’s not the correct term but not sure what we’re calling it these days. Where I grew up they called it abstinence education 🙄🤦🏼♀️🙄 |
It is always done as close to the end of school year to give as little time for the kids to chat among themselves. |
You can ask the PE/health teacher. |
Pre-pandemic they would do it the Friday before spring break in 4th grade in my school. The first one. There is more than one. |
Weird timing, we just got notice today that ours for 5th graders will be in late May. |
For my older kid, it was literally the last week of 5th grade. Possibly even the last day. |
