Telluride, Palisade, or XC90

Title says it all. I'm down to these three for my choices- coming from a Honda Pilot. I love the look of the Volvo but not the price. I'd like to keep the car at least 5-7 years. Usual driving 3 kids everywhere etc. Please help.

XC90 plug-in. Splurge for it and keep longer. My friends love it and never fill their tank, as EV mode is like 35 miles. That’s enough for daily driving.

We got an XC 90 plug in last summer and love it.

Fk all those cars.

Get a highlander.

Volvo’s while nice are expensive to fix. Tellurides are selling way over msrp for what they are and you should read about Kia’s exploding engine issues. Palisade is meh. Same engine issues possible. Seriously Toyota hybrid for the win. Those other cars could either have reliability issues, less future trade in value, more expensive repairs. Kia is so hot right now but there are no long term studies yet on the telluride or palisades. Highlander has been tested for years.

Palisade. Palisade has better safety ratings than the Telluride. Telluride is the hot car now, so you'll have to overpay. i have a 2012 highlander -- i haven't been in the new highlanders.

A Palisade would be the best value and they get great ratings.

We purchased palisade in fall 2019 - very happy. When an 11 yo tells you how comfortable it is - they did something right

We bought an XC90 T8 Extended Range about a month or so ago. It's been a wonderful car so far. We get almost 40 miles on a full charge.

My wife loves it because it because she can do her commute, shopping, etc., in full electric. I love it because, on the rare occasion I drive it/feel like it, I can put it into sport mode, and with something like 455 horse power (front wheels on the gas engine; rear wheels on two electric motors), it is rather fast for a car of its size.

So far, for us, it is a totally delightful car. I'm very glad we got it.

Telluride and Palisade are so ordinary. Get the Volvo.

Have you driven the Volvo? The interior is gorgeous but it is also quite a bit smaller than the cavernous Pilot you may be used to.

We shopped the XC90 for a while and thought it was great, but went with a tricked-out Mazda CX-9 for $20k less. Love it. But if all of your kids are still backseat age, it would probably be too tight as well.

I have the XC90 and love it, but it is only 5 years old. I haven't had any major issues so far (knock on wood). They are expensive to fix, and we plan on giving it to our teen in a few years. So I am a bit concerned about what kinds of repairs it may need at that point.

the safety ratings on all 3 just came out and were not favorable to the telluride & palisades

and volvo was a 5 star yet again

I love my Volvo!

I would not want to keep a volvo for 7 years. 5 is probably ok. I don't trust kia or hyundai, but if I had to pick between teh two, Hyundai.
