Send a cookie - where to order from in DC area?

Anonymous
Looking to send someone a chocolate chip cookie this Friday. Don't want to send a lot, just like 1 to 4 cookies. Or even to ship cookie dough that could be baked at their convenience.

Suggestions for where to order from and somewhere that won't make me buy a box of more than 4 cookies max? If it matters I know this person specifically loves gooey soft chocolate chip cookies, not crunchy.

Ugh, now I want a cookie.

Locally, try Astro chicken and Doughnut: https://www.toasttab.com/astrodoughnutsdc/v3/

Not local, Milkbar has a 6 pack: https://milkbarstore.com/products/assorted-cookie-tin?list_id=unassigned

Do Crumbl! Download their app and order thru there. They show up still warm in a pretty box!

Levain Bakery in Georgetown with delivery through Uber Eats. They have the best soft chocolate chip cookies.

Uncle Chip's! Local company, very tasty. They ship nationwide.

Levain, hands down! It's originally from NYC if that matters.
Tatte has good tahini-chocolate cookies but that may not be what you want if you're looking for something more traditional.

Love Uncle Chip's, though I am personally a fan of the dark chocolate dipped shortbread. Mmmmm.

Summer House in North Bethesda. I’ve eaten all the other cookies on this thread, many of which are good, but I think Summer House has better.

I agree! I know this is too late for OP, since it's already Friday, but in case anyone else who needs cookie delivery reads this. Insomnia has locations in most major college towns too. I send them to my kids for finals week/celebration.

Do people actually like the Levain cookies? They’re massive and cakey/dry. Or have I had bad luck the handful of times I’ve tried them?

Well, massive is not a negative for those of us who like cookies! I don’t find them cakey or dry, but they are the type of cookie you should have right away. They are better fresh from the bakery. The magic is lost for me when I’ve received them shipped or bought the frozen ones.
