Chase Rewards booking bug

I’m attempting to book place tickets for my family using chase rewards. I’ve done this before with no issues. However now my eldest is 12, and this is causing me to not be able to book the flights because she is still a minor but their “child” tickets are for ages 2-11. When I try to book for 3 adults/2 kids it also says her age doesn’t work either because it’s not “in range”. I’m on the phone with their customer service but they’re inept. Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it? It seems like their whole system is screwed up.

Yes. I ended up purchasing my son's ticket. They suck for plane tickets. Not worth the hastle.

Also wouldn't let me book a kids ticket without a passport number even though I didn't have one for an adult.

My kids are younger but I didn't have major issues booking our flights. I always double check that the booking number is showing up with the airline....i get the airline app and put in my trip info. I actually found the cheapest tickets through Chase rewards so my points covered all 4 of our tickets.

Right - I never had an issue before she was 12. The agent was finally able to do it but it took an hour on the phone and was a huge, stupid pain.

Thanks. Such a stupid issue and something that shouldn't happen on a major credit card booking website. When the agent initially tried to book it didn't work for her either. Then the system kept saying that the flights I wanted weren't available. Finally it let her book it and we got the fare I wanted.

Is this Chase Ultimate Rewards booking site? I just booked my tickets to Asia using the site and no issues so far. I didn't redeem points but just booked there. 4 times the number of points earned if you booked through them. Same price as the airlines.

Yes, Chase Ultimate Rewards. Were you trying to book a child between the ages of 12-17, because that was the issue.

It was a breeze prior to her turning 12. Never had an issue booking trips - flights/hotels through the site. This is such a stupid/obvious "glitch" as well you'd think they would easily be able to fix it.

My kids are 4 and 6. Sorry, didn't read your original post properly.
