Do you mean your kid is on a date with a kid, or you are going somewhere alone with your kid and for some reason calling it a date?

Not in Kensington, but not too far. I like Clyde's Tower Oaks for kid friendly but feels grown up.

Frankly Pizza VERY kid friendly. Dish & Dram and Knowles Station fine for kids too. K Town Bistro is really yummy but a bit stuffier.
