Anyone else think that was fake? Seriously?? 2 men break into your house, you claim they manhandled you to the floor and roughed you up. You beg for your life and the lives of your children. But then, you ask... can I have my phone? They say "sure, we'll place it right outside by the gate". No way. They had guns and a huge mansion to rummage and they leave with a barely loaded comforter? Nope.

I've had a gun pointed at my head while my husband and I were instructed to hand over our cash, our phones, and my jewelry.
It's terrifying and I would never wish it on anyone. I would never doubt anyone who said they had been through that experience. You know what, I hope she IS making it up, just so that her kids were never in that situation. But I don't think she is lying. |

+1 But I do wonder when people are going to realize that you can't show the interior layout of your house, including where you keep your grillion dollars' worth of handbags and jewelry on TV, and also show your international travel on Insta reels, without people figuring out exactly how and when to rob you. This is not the first time! |

When I was a kid we lived next door to a retired FBI agent, and at some point he wrote a book about safety. He gave my family a copy and we all passed it around to read it. One of the things I remember is that you brag about your vacations AFTER you get back, never before. You tell ONE trusted person on your block, so they can come by each day and pick up any mail or newspapers that didn't get held, and put out your trash bins and such. But you don't tell people you're going away. |
