I get the feeling this was more about distancing herself from her husband than from Epstein himself. There must be something more that's going to come out about Trump and Epstein and she wants it known she has no connection to any of it. I mean everyone knows she hates her husband. Notice she didn't exactly defend Trump when she spoke. |

Calling for victims to testify before Congress at a public hearing, with their testimony entered permanently into the Congressional record, does not feel like it's especially respectful or supportive of victims.
And to be clear, that is the *only* thing Melania said should be done. There was no calling for redacted names of perpetrators. No calling for the release of files that have been withheld. No public hearings by the DOJ employees who withheld the info or by the wealthy men who did the victimizing over many years. Nope, just, "let those victims come and testify at a public hearing in Congress." Which feels more like a shot across the bow aimed at victims than support for them. Literally everything else was about Melania defending herself. |
