Air fryer recommendation

Looking to buy a air fryer for the first time, any recommendations?

The Ninja air fryers are great for "batch" foods like fries, wings, etc. However, if you're looking for something that fits larger items like chicken thighs or fish filets, you'll want something wider. The ninjas will fit a couple of chops or pieces of chicken, but not enough to cook for a family of four in one go, and you have to cut most fish up into smaller pieces.

The oven-style air fryers don't work very well in my experience. Air frying is slow and other functions (i.e.: toasting) are mediocre at best. Breville makes one that's supposed to be an exception, but it's also super expensive.

I have the Breville and it has been well worth the cost to us.

Ninja, the single baller one. If I’m doing a whole chicken I’d do it in the oven but it’s great for chicken pieces, fish pieces, fries, pretty much anything to feed 4 (2 kids).

Take mine - please. This was the worst appliance. I really don't understand anything about this thing except the awesome marketing. It really doesn't make life easier unless you're making fries all the damn time - oh and chicken tenders.

My teenagers are begging me to get one and say that their friends have the Ninja brand at their houses. I really don’t have room for the darn thing though.

It’s also great for making crispy vegetables and reheating anything you want to end up crispy. I was skeptical of mine at first too—I inherited it—but my family now loves it.
