Part-time employment rules in DC

Hi, I currently employ my nanny full-time and I am considering moving her to part-time (30 hours a week).

Question 1: Does anyone know what the rules are around part-time employment in DC (e.g., is it minimum 20 hours with any time over that time-and-a-half)?

Question 2: Has anyone ever changed their nanny from full-time to part-time and if so, what needed to be done? Assume I need to update offer letter and the payroll system.

I don’t know that anything needs to be done, OP. The rules apply to domestic help whether full time or part time.

Have you discussed this with your nanny?

Updating the payroll system is a ten second email, OP.

It's really no big deal. Just update the hours in the payroll system. Overtime kicks in after 40 hours in a one week period. I don't think an offer letter matters. If anything, update your contract.

Is the nanny ok with being moved to part time?
