Okay, I admit it. I've been devouring all the news about the Huguely-Love murder, and reading all of these Landon threads on DCUM. I think I have now reached my limit! I never thought I'd be nostalgic for some of the old DCUM Independent School standbys, but, I think I'm ready to read more on the "top five" independent school topic threads EVAH! (not in any particular order):
1. "Big Three" Biggies -- What are they? Who determines them? Why is the term "Big Three" valid/contrived/an affront to reason? Why the Burb schools get SNUBBED! 2. Beauvoir Cotillion, baby! Mrs. Simpsons and whatever the rival is. 3. WPPSI Whimsy -- to Prep or Not to Prep, and What is a Good Score, and False Positives vs. False Negatives 4. Playdate Paranoia -- What should Mom Wear is a really good angle on this, and extra points for references to St. Albans "crab soccer"! 5. Wild About the Waiting List! -- Especially fun ones deal with whether waiting lists are "real" and what it means to get a hand written note from Maret! |

I think I started reading DCUM once the Beauvoir issue had died down somewhat. (And I don't want to make light of it -- really horrible situation.) |
