| If so, which one is it? Ours will live on our uncovered deck, so I don't want to spend too much on this because we can't take care of it especially well. |
| The only way to cook out is over charcoal. |
|
I think it was somewhat more than $500, but I've had a Weber Spirit grill for a long time. It lives in a screen porch, so not exactly exposed to the elements.
And, respect to the charcoal-only guy. You and my Dad would get along well. But, while I like the taste of charcoal better, when the temperature is below freezing, I still like being able to use my grill - heat it up quickly and don't have to spend much time outdoors with it. |

This is what I have too. I've had it for about 10 years and I think it was around 500 at that time. The cheapest weber. Still in great shape, even after moving twice. We keep a cover on it, but otherwise it sits outdoors all year. |
We have the low end Weber too. It is 20 years old. We have replaced some parts but it works well. |
|
This is what I have and absolutely love it.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Char-Broil-CB-4-Burner-SS-Cabinet/5002180643 I also have it under a deck, but I still keep it covered to help protect it. |
+2. If you're cooking on a gas grill, you might as well use a grill pan on your kitchen stovetop. |
And fill the house with smoke and have the grill pan full of hot oil and drippings? Nope. |

Weber Spirit grill is $499 at Home Depot:

I'd also pick Char-Broil. We've had two of them and of less than Weber, I've liked them the best. |
|
I'll echo what PPs have said and vote for the cheapest Weber. We do keep ours covered and clean it 3 or 4 times a year.
I'm in the camp of stretching a little to buy a nicer whatever than what feels like disposable cheap stuff. See: vacuums. |
| We have had a Weber spirit for 10+ years. Lasted longer than anything else and still going strong. Kept it covered though. Very happy |
| We’ve had a Weber for 20 years— about half covered and half not and it’s in great shape (a couple parts replaced of course). |
| We have the Weber that is just over $500. We love it a lot. Add $80 for the cover. |
