Best fancy sushi within 50 miles?

Looking to book an exceptional sushi dinner in the DMV area. We love Sushiko and go there often for special occasions, but this time looking for something even more special. Willing to drive an hour each way. Thanks!

If "fancy" means flaming onions and Donald Roll and such, then I don't know. If you want true authentic Japanese food and sushi, Tachibana is that. But probably not fancy enough for what you're looking for.

+! (but be prepared for cost of about 200 per person). Sushi Taro also offers a special tasting menu

For a less but a nice experience, I like Yume Sushi in Arlington

Nasime in old town is not exclusively sushi, but it’s the best Japanese food I’ve had in this area
