Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
|
Of 209 schools in MCPS, 33 (16%) are improving, 123 (59%) are steady without new infections, and 53 (25%) are getting worse.
Negative trends: the Central Office reporting of 26 infections in the past 10-days, the school-wide 10-day-case count is higher (up to 1344), 58% of schools are reporting 4 or more infections in the past 10-days. The percentage of schools increasing infections is down to 25%. This is not necessarily good news, since it could just be the drop-off of Spring Break reported infections. New infection data can appear artificially low because of the reporting method MCPS is using (instead of daily case counts). An example might be if a school reported an infection on day one, had no infections on days 2 through 10, but on day eleven had another infection. The dashboard would just read "1", but it would be reported for 20 days. 58% (121 of 209) schools in MCPS have 4 or more reported infections in the past 10 days. | Why not just do one thread? We don't need a new thread daily. I guess the W schools win in covid. |
| Really low numbers overall. |
It’s cause the W kids did so much spring break travel. Either that or their parents are still getting them tested for the sniffles. Hard to know I guess. |
It would be nice. SSDD. |
| Looks like a nothing 🍔 . Is that the point? Or what’s the point of these daily tomes? |
It gives the OP a daily platform to attempt negative spin. “This looks like good news but let me twist some numbers around so that it’s bad news…” |
| Ha. My kid is at a private high school where 20% of the kids are currently in quarantine after testing positive, despite universal vaccination. I would love these numbers! |
Yea for your private school. Something they are winning at. High Covid numbers. Seriously why post here. This is not private school. |
| Numbers continue to rise. |
Well there isn't much else to do when you are too terrified to leave your house. |
When numbers are rising, there is something to be concerned about. Nothing to twist around. |
In the rest of the world a pandemic is a bad thing. But not here. Here we love death and disability! |
Ehh, be concerned all you want. You are clearly in the minority. |
Talk about twisting things around! JFC you loon. I'll take death and disability with a side of insanity please. |
