What is MCPS doing to stop these types of crimes towards MCPS students by staff members?

Is Dr. McKnight proposing any changes to improve student safety? Or is it just wait and see who’s arrested as the standard protocol?

Enforce the Employee Code of Conduct with dismissal. MCPS knows of employees who violate the Code of Conduct with things identified as grooming type behaviors. The data of the number of written reprimands are provided by the Superintendent to the BOE.

Exactly. Especially here in MoCo, he is likely to have his record expunged and he can move on from there.

The other problem is when offenders move across state lines. MCPS has hired offenders with records in other states but not in Maryland.
