I saw these at Costco and wondering the safety of the coating. Thank you.

| I have Le Creuset ones, which have existed for hundreds of years and are as safe as can be. |
| I heard they make you gay. |
Are you really asking? Have you ever heard of Le Creuset or Staub? |
no. -OP |
| I have a Le Creuset. I have zero worries about its safety.. |
This is a nice brand, OP. As another poster pointed out, Le Creuset and Staub are the high end versions. Tramontina is very well-regarded and this looks like a good price. There are no health concerns at all. One of the nice things about Dutch ovens is that they can be used on the stove top and then put directly into the range. If you intend to do that, then make sure that the product you buy is rated to go up to 500 degrees. |
That’s surprising. But to answer your question, Costco would not sell some thing that was unsafe to cook with. Enameled cast iron has been around for a long time and is extremely safe to use. |
My only question is if this is made in Brazil like the rest of Tramontina, or if they subcontract to another manufacturer and slapped their name on it. |
