My recovery has been fairly “normal” but since two days ago I’ve been feeling that my stomach “muscles” (upper belly) are sore (dull pain like I just worked out). Hurts to turn on my sides or get up from sitting. Is this normal 3 weeks PP? Anyone feel these pains this far out? I had a vaginal birth
I'm 11 days out and my tailbone feels like that, like after a workout (which is weird because how can you work out your tailbone?) This is my 4th vaginal delivery and first time I'm feeling this but I've been wayyy more active in terms of going on short walks, etc. Are you doing any light exercise or physical activity that could spur on the soreness? I'm guessing some of our muscles are still bouncing back from a lack of activity during pregnancy so it's like waking them up to being used again 🤷♀️
i'm pretty active around the house and carry groceries and go on walks. maybe my walk up a small hill yesterday did it...congrats mama and feel better

Look into pelvic floor pt, you could be compensating for lower ab weakness by gripping your upper abs. It’s totally normal postpartum, but should be addressed.
That makes sense, thanks! It’s definitely on my list |
Totally normal. At least, it was for me. My abs felt sore and overworked for a couple weeks.
Pain in your upper belly area can be a sign of high blood pressure, which commonly develops postpartum. If you have any other signs of hypertension, I’d at least get a quick BP check!
Probably normal but I would run it by your OB in case they want to check anything.
