| If yes, was it an easy or hard process? |
| I mean I have a security clearance so I don’t see why GE would be that much different? |
| You generally have to be a US citizen but it would be illegal and a scandal if they made it harder for people because of their religion |
| My friend is a US citizen but her background is Bengali and cannot get global access/TSA |
Well the Supreme Court said it was okay as long as you don't explicitly say it's for religion. https://www.npr.org/2018/06/26/606481548/supreme-court-upholds-trump-travel-ban Anyway, I have a few friends who were born in the US but are of Iranian and Arab descent, with very Iranian/Arab names, and definitely identifiably Middle Eastern. None have had any problems getting GE. |
DH has global entry and not US citizen (green card). |
Yes, it's actually a longer list than you would think of countries whose citizens can get Global Entry: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/eligibility I guess it would appeal to people with family in the US who come to visit a lot, or business travelers who make frequent trips. |
I’m Bangladeshi and got it. |
PP can you elaborate? Was she given a reason? |
