Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
|
The number of new MCPS infections reported was 140 for April 25th. The trend from Apr 19 to 25 has been 862, 933, 1035, 1110, 1159, 1299 {0-baseline,+71,+102,+75,+49,+140}.
Of 209 schools in MCPS, 8 (4%) are improving, 126 (60%) are steady without new infections, and 75 (36%) are getting worse. In theory, there should be a large drop in 10-day-case data as the window shifts away from Spring break, with the exception of schools whose case counts recently spiked and continued to increase. There have been comments regarding the cessation of MCPS case tracing, however, the lack of parental awareness and MCPS leadership regarding preventative measures will likely prolong the spike, resulting in more kids and teachers will be infected than was preventable. 57% (119 of 209) of schools in MCPS have 4 or more reported infections in the past 10 days. This is up 3% since Sunday's data. | It looks good to me. |
You always enjoy a good pandemic. |
| Thank you for creating regular threads, OP! |
Why, because you don't have kids in MCPS? You are thinking this looks good that students have covid? Central office is the highest in numbers. |
They mean that they don't care about Covid; that it's a mild virus; no one died that they know of, or was gravely ill, so they don't believe it can ever happen to them or their loved ones... ... that sort of thing. |
Because numbers aren't bad at all. There's nothing here to be worked up about at all. |
Fauci says we're out of the pandemic phase. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10758759/America-pandemic-phase-says-Fauci.html |
No no no! The surge is coming! Masks I definitely! Daily testing! Social distance! |
Stop being obnoxious and grow up and set a good example as an adult or better, go back to your private school board if you even have kids. |
| My kid at Churchill has been sick this week. The at home tests though says negative for COVID so I don’t know if the test kit is faulty or if he has something else causing fever, cough, and congestion. Anyhow, he has been absent because of his symptoms since Sunday. |
Fauci needs get a damn MPH so he can learn what the term pandemic means |
If they have a fever and Covid symptoms, I’d run them up for a PCR test. Plenty of places to get them cheap or free, and a PCR really should pick it up even if the rapid doesn’t. Sameday Testing offers a free-with-insurance PCR test that says results in 48 hours, but in reality it’s currently more like 12. My HS kid had a nasty cold (but no fever) so I took them for a test at about 4:30 in the afternoon, and had results in my email by morning. I still kept them home, though, because mask+snot+cough = definitely not ready for prime time. Fortunately, they felt well enough to keep up with work at home, so didn’t miss out on much. |

Yawn
Y’all need to realize this Covid has run it’s course and it’s time to go back to work and grow up a bit |
| WJ has the highest COVID case count and that is where Dr. McKnight had her large maskless community forum tonight. Still no virtual option for families to participate. |
