How to find a designer

| I just had a design appointment at my house with someone to help me pick out window treatments, floor coverings, lighting, and offer some design help. The individual (who runs a design business) had been recommended by multiple ppl in a local facebook group. She was just so low energy and incredibly blah. I feel like we both just wasted alot of time (+ for me, the money for her initial design appointment). How do y'all find a designer to actually offer concrete advice for smaller projects? Feeling pretty deflated atm. |

| What’s your budget? Do you have friends whose houses you like? Can you ask them? Can you look in magazines and “magazines” (eg Washington Home and Life or things like that)? |
