(Note that April 24 was Sunday. It was unexpected that the case count still rose between Sat and Sun, indicating school-based end-of-week infections occurred.)
The number of new infections reported was 75 for April 22nd data. The trend from Apr 19 to 24 has been 862, 933, 1035, 1110, 1159 {0-baseline,+71,+102,+75,+49}. Of 209 schools in MCPS, 12 (6%) are improving, 152 (73%) are steady without new infections, and 45 (22%) are getting worse. 54% (113 of 209) schools in MCPS have 4 or more reported infections in the past 10 days.
