My family has been thrown into a (hopefully only 1day long) crisis mode.
While I hoped to make a great weekly meal plan with healthy stuff …. I had to grab a nasty take out lunch today. Only thing I could pick up. I didn’t even eat it all. What should I do for dinner? Btw rotisserie chickens run out by 6pm at my markets, and I can’t get there until 6:30. And I’m going to need my favorite Dr Pepper to take on the rest of the evening. |

I don’t really care if it’s quick. Misleading thread name. I know I don’t want to cook based on how the day is going.
Quick isn’t important. It’s more like low-key, fast food, for the family including kids who will try a medium-amount of food. |

Do you live near a Wegmans or Whole Foods? Get something from the hot bar there, Otherwise, order pizza. One night won't hurt.

Order pizzas. Cheese for picky kids. If you go to a local place they'll probably have some decent salad options to go with.
|
| Pasta, frozen garlic bread, salad |
| “Egg in a boat” Aka egg fried in a slice of bread. Add a side salad if you have one. |
| Waffles for dinner is a hit. You can even make them savory with shredded cheddar and garlic chives. |
| Uber Eats or Door Dash. |
| Chipotle or Peruvian chicken (cuz that’s what I’m craving right now) |
| just do breakfast for dinner. it is easy and you likely have the stuff for it. |
| Scrambled eggs. Tacos. Or taco meat on a nacho chips. |
|
For mindless comfort food, I like to cook short pasta (elbow, bow tie, etc), and add tuna and grated cheddar, for tuna casserole. |
| Sandwiches, chips, side salad. |
We called it Bunny in a Hole. The bread gets all nice and buttery and toasty. It’s good. |
| quesadillas and you can throw in as many vegetables/beans/meat as you have available |
