I have fairly broad shoulders for a woman, am slender and small boned, size 4. I have avoided button down shirts because of this, but Is like to find one that works. Is there any brand that makes shirts that are roomier there, without my having to buy a larger size? |
Mens. Seriously. Looks for brands that are more high end fashion centered on mens. They tend to be cut slim. I like Todd Synder. I’m a size 2-4 and their xs fit very well |
Can you buy larger and get them tailored to fit? I also have broad shoulders for a woman, so I just avoid button down shirts. But, for work dresses that have sleeves, I buy larger and get them tailored. Works for me! |
Madewell tops fit my broad shoulders. Their cut is looser than other brands and are cut large. I normally wear size 2 in other brands, but 00 in Madewell and that fits. |
Off topic but broad shoulders are so beautiful! It makes the way your arms hang look so willowy and graceful. I have very narrow shoulders and feel like I look like a tick. |
Maybe if you're 5'10 and skinny. I'm 5'4, size 2/4 with broad shoulders and muscular arms. There is nothing willowy about me. I just look like an undersized linebacker. I haven't found one brand that is better than another and often have to just try stuff on. Sleeveless blouses are my friend in the summer. |
I’m 5’10 with broad shoulders and have used Banana’s Tall Size for clothes and have found several button down shirts that fit well. It’s hit or miss. |
LOL! Yep, this is me. Except I'm 5' with ridiculously short arms. So, a broad back, wide shoulders, and tiny stubs for arms. |
Same, sort of. I'm not short (5'8), but I'm also not skinny and long-limbed. I've got broad, muscular shoulders and strong arms. Clothed, people ask if I'm a swimmer; wearing tank tops, they ask if I do CrossFit. I'm not complaining, but willowy and graceful, I am not. |
