Are there UMC families in Vienna and Oakton?

Please do not flame. We’d like to be in a community that’s internationally oriented and more open to diversity. Looking for sohisticated and educated people with good jobs.

Which towns in Nova to target? Arlington? Alexandria? Vienna?

Yeah. I mean I’d call them more “affluent” but it has what you’re looking for.

this is easily searchable on various websites online - you can find income distributions % with graduate degrees, bachelor degrees, etc., race, age, and other distributions by county and zipcode. But no let's come to DCUM and ask random people what they think, which is totally irrelevant

Sophisticated?

Sounds more like McLean and Falls Church City though Oakton and Vienna are for sure mostly UMC.

Lots of professional services folks, doctors, and dentists in Vienna/Oakton. Are those “good jobs”?

With the volume of $2M+ homes, I’d say it is very much UMC.

I mean, the average home price in Vienna according to Zillow is 1.1m, so it's a dumb question, unless you are so elitist that you believe people buying 1.1m homes are the MC.

I also appreciated the “internationally oriented” which could mean about ten thousand different things based on the individual using the phrase.

OP, your subject line focuses on socioeconomic status which you seem to equate with other personality traits. I’d caution against making that leap.

We ain’t very sophistopated in these here Arlington parts.

To be fair, OP is looking for the same thing everyone else is looking for only difference is they voiced it in a way that some people are trying to find offensive....when in reality everyone thinks like this and just doesn't want to admit it out loud.

I am going to say this without flaming, since you asked nicely and must realize this is a flame-worthy question. I live in Oakton. Our neighborhood is UMC. There are MC neighborhoods. I see / speak with many people that I have no idea what they do for a living. They may or may not have good jobs. I’m not sure what your definition of a good job is anyway. I know some SAH parents here in Oakton, too. It’s pretty much like other towns.

Many may want to live in relatively high income, highly educated areas. But OP throwing in “sophisticated” makes the post seem silly. OP, if you could be a little more specific, people could help you out more.

Everyone definitely doesn't think like this. Some people definitely do.

Okay maybe not "everyone" but damn close. Let's just say "most" people.
