OB Recommendations

Hi everyone! I'm expecting for the first time and looking for recommendations for an obstetrician in DC. I thought I was going to go with Capital Women's Care on K Street, but they've called to reschedule my first prenatal appointment twice now and it's making me wary to continue on with them. I'd love your recommendations for other practices or to hear about your experience with Capital Women's Care (are they typically this disorganized?). Thanks!

Also a FTM, nearing the end here (39 weeks). Based on my research here and elsewhere I went with Dr. DeSouza. So far have been very happy with the care but I have been very low risk - he is a single practitioner so not sure if that would change if you have a more complicated pregnancy. Easy to schedule appointments, the staff is very nice, and my husband has been allowed to come to all appointments. He delivers at Sibley and at every appointment does a mini ultrasound so you get to see your little one.

Very happy with Foxhall, and they deliver at Sibley. Diverse group of very competent doctors.

This has never happened to me with CWC - K St. Not for well women’s visits or either pregnancy. Currently in third trimester of my second. I find their scheduling process easy and have never had an issue. I wonder what’s going on that’s causing such bad luck for your first visit.
