Car rental damage

| On vacation and came out of grocery store to discover a car had hit ours on the side. We went inside to ask if there was video and they said no but there was a language barrier. We had a timed pass for a tour and had to go but not sure how to handle this. We have insurance with out credit card but waived the rental company’s policy. Ugh so not looking forward to this headache. |

| OP here. We do not have great service where we are and not sure What to do. We will return it at airport in two days. |

| Call your credit card insurance. I did this in Nicaragua and it took a while but I did get reimbursed by cc company. You will need pictures of the damage, your rental agreement and other things. Call your cc issuer as soon as possible to start the claim and see what they will need from you. |

| If it’s minor, hope they don’t notice when you return it. If it’s something they will definitely notice, then you will need to claim it on your insurance and get reimbursed afterwards, unless you have one of the few credit cards that offer primary coverage. |
