3rd pregnancy over 40 what week did you deliver

Playing the guessing game on when I’m going to deliver. I’m so ready to get this baby out!! What week did you deliver with your 3rd? We’re you close to or over 40?
I’m 36 weeks now and just can’t imagine another full month! My first was a day or two past due date. My second was a couple of days before but pretty close. I have a bit of a gap though and just wondering if either this being my 3rd and/or my age now may make going a little earlier more likely. |

| It’s the baby’s call. The only way age will impact it is that you won’t be allowed to much beyond your due date. |

| I’m awaiting #2, not #3, but similar question! (Also feeling your insomnia!!) First came at exactly 39 weeks. I’m at 39+1, so this is supposed to have happened already, right? But if not within the next couple of days, I’m getting induced. Good luck! |

| I was told I could elect induction starting week 39, and needed to be done at 40 weeks. She came right at the beginning of week 39 on her own. |

| All my inductions were after 41 weeks. Even when I was over 35 years old. My OB wouldn't do an elective induction. |

| Was induced with #2 at 41w2d at age 35 (1 yr ago). Midwives wouldve let me go longer but there were no indications she was coming on her own. |

| 3rd pregnancy was at 36 not 40 but I went into natural labor at 38 weeks (same as baby #2). I walked a zillion miles on Saturday and Sunday and went into labor on Monday. Baby was born just shy of 9 pounds at 38 week so glad he didn't cook any longer! |

I had my third when I was 39.5. My first arrived at 40w5d, second at 41w2d. I had painful complications with the third, so my midwives took pity on me and we induced at 40w1d. Lengthy induction, very fast delivery, ultimately. No indications that he would have come anytime soon if we hadn't induced, since I was barely dilated or effaced.
Honestly, if you're close to 40 with your third kid, I'd push hard for an induction. Especially if you've had two vaginal deliveries before--chances of an induction failing are low. |

Last baby at age 43-she came naturally at 39 weeks exactly, which was my only dc to arrive before her due date!
It was a healthy pregnancy and delivery, but honestly-I was really tired that last month LOL! I napped everyday. No way around that I guess. |
