I’ve found the best tutors are the other teachers from big 3 - see if any of them tutor. Email the department heads and ask of any of the teachers do chem tutoring.

Thanks. Do you mean another teacher from the same school? or from a different B3?

Some kids don't want their teachers to know they need extra help.

Generally speaking, if a kid needs a tutor in an advanced class, maybe they should be in the "regular" class.

Or your kid misses a week of school due to Covid and is struggling to catch up.

If your kid goes to market email thread dept heads of the other schools and ask if any of their teachers tutor chemistry. Also they can ask their friends who have tutors who they use.

Might say more about the kid than the school.

Same - the quality of the Wyzant tutors (highly reviewed ones who have many hours of relevant experience) has been great for my kid in multiple advanced level high school classes

In one case, kid had an ok (not great) Wyzant tutor and kid did one hour and picked a different tutor. Really good variety of prices, skills, hours of experience on that platform.
