Many of my colleagues are wearing this style. Along with Allbirds. I did a Google search and it is appearing to be quite popular and versatile.
Do you like your pair? |
| I love the look but they aren't comfortable on me. Maybe they will be ok for you but they are quite stiff. |
| My almost 10 and 12yo DDs love them, I think they are hugely popular with tween and teen girls, I don’t see many grown women wearing them these days. They wear them with dresses to bar mitzvahs etc. |
| They’re very popular with teens/young adults. They’re not comfortable though. |
| My tweens wear those |
| Very popular with the middle school set if that is what you are going for Op. |
| My 13 year old wears them |
| I'm 52. I have a pair of black air force ones. |
| Any way to make them more comfortable? My 12 year bought a pair with his own money and never wears them because he said they hurt. |
| Last year tweens/teens wore them. Which means moms/30s/40a are now wearing them. |
AF1's are not a new trend. Maybe the white kids just got on them. But black kids have been wearing these since the 80s. The rapper Nelly had a song about Air force ones that came out in 2002. In New York, they're called "uptowns" because you had to go to upper Manhattan to buy them back in the day. |

I think of it as a teen/20-something style.
I can't put up with sneakers that aren't comfortable. Like Converse too. |
Yes. But last year they were a TikTok trend amongst the teens/tweens. It's that "preppy" look, that yes mostly is white kids. Now their moms are wearing them. |
| My 12 year old has a pair. I buy sneakers for myself in the kids department because their cheaper but I'm not interested in Air Force 1s. I lean towards retro sneakers (Gazelles, Stan Smith, Converse) Try those. |
| I’m 43 and I have an all white pair I wear with maxi dresses and a jean jacket. |
