Speaking of Tapas...do you make them at home?

Anonymous
My friends are coming into town and we all studied abroad in Madrid together. I would love to take them out to Jaleo (especially after reading the other post) but some of us have kids and it's not reasonable to get a babysitter for many reasons that are not worth listing.

I want us all to cook a tapas dinner together...tortilla espanola, gambas al ajillio...

any suggestions of ones that are simple to make? Recipes?

Thanks!!

A friend and I did tapas for twelve as an auction fundraiser. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work! Try Jose Andres' cookbook. We also used one called From Tapas to Mezze (or vice versa?) that was quite good. Enjoy!

Jaleo is actually pretty kid friendly if you go early. . .

I make the manchego cheese and apple salad that they have at Jaleo. I use lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper for dressing.
