Losing hair above forehead, center of hairline

I'm 53 and my once thick hair has been thinning for years - ever since having children. I didn't think too much about it, but over the last few months, there is a definite patch that is very noticeable (to me), right in the center of my forehead/hairline. It's where a middle part would end, right in the center, above the forehead. I keep sweeping hair over it to hide the thinning patch, but it's getting worse. Had a physical last month and mentioned to the doctor. They ran all the usual tests and everything came back normal. I tried minoxidil, but it just sat on my hair, even after massaging into scalp. Made the hair look awful, and made my scalp very itchy. Am now taking Hair/Skin/Nail supplements.

Anyone have any suggestions? TIA.
