This gets all the press. But it ignores the other almost bigger problems that Brazil faces. The destruction of the Cerrado and the destruction of the Pantanal. Both of those are essential to the very existence of the Amazon and other rain forests in Brazil.

I remember flying to and from Brazil as a kid. It was hours upon hours of unrelenting green. Now it is a patchwork.

Some people care. Just not enough people. Also I’m gonna go with, “this problem feels too big for most people to feel like they can do anything about it.”

Look at the vegetarian thread in the schools forum and you will see that nobody cares. If we all ate less meat then we could create change but nobody wants to anything other than what feels good in the moment.
