Question about interior tile and replacing windows

I want to add a tile backsplash to our kitchen, but I know there is a siding/window replacement somewhere in the next 5-10 years. The tile would need to go to the trim of the window. Will the tile get messed up by the window replacement, or does it happen from the outside?
I know I can just order and store extra tile, just trying to understand if I want to wait and do it after. |

| It depends on how they install. Just get extra tile or do the one window now. |
