| Same goes for Starbucks, Walmart, etc. |
| You do realize that 18- and 19-year-olds have graduated from high school and might not be enrolled in higher education... right? |
Yeah, I do. And do they not deserve to support themselves financially? |
| They want "teenagers" to drop out of school and become dumb Trumpers. |
So they don't have living expenses? |
| Other people work too you know. That statement is not meant to be literally 100% |
I don't understand your point. OP asked if cashier jobs are for teenagers then why stores aren't closed from 8AM-3PM Monday through Friday, because that's when high school is in session. There are teenagers who aren't in high school, and there are also older cashiers. That's why stores aren't closed between 8AM and 3PM Monday through Friday. |
? |
| To those too dense to understand the original question, OP is arguing against people who say “minimum wage jobs are for kids/teenagers.” |
| Well, my teenage son tried to get a job in all nearby grocery stores. Turns out stores are not interested in 17 yo high school students. Same with Starbucks, Chipotle, and other fast-food joints. |
Are they, though? OP's post reads like the equivalent of a MAGA mouthbreather Tweeting "If global warming is real, why did it snow today? Checkmate, libs" |
| Who said cashier jobs are for teens? |
Conservatives |

I supported myself on a retail job and a telemarketing job while going to community college full time when I was 18.
Not everywhere has the cost of living of DC or other major city. |

"If jobs like grocery store cashier are “for teenagers,” why aren’t they closed from 8am-3pm M-F?"
Sounds like shower thoughts of a sixteen year old. Do you have a comment about politics? |
