How to handle when mom has Covid

Anonymous
Everyone in our family is vaccinated. My older child had Covid back in January and the rest of the family was able to stay away and not get Covid.

Now only I, the mom, has Covid.

Has anyone been able to successfully isolate and not give rest of the family Covid?

Dh is already at work as are 2 of 3 of my kids. My youngest is in preschool and just turned 5 and vaccinated.

I had to isolate and husband had to step up for kids and pets, all while working from home. We ordered in a lot of food to help him out. There really is no other way to handle it - if you can’t isolate properly, your kids even vaccinated shouldn’t be at school.

I wouldn't worry about isolating. But I'd pick your kids up from school.

And honestly, this is why you all should have tried to get covid when your kid got it a few months ago.

This variant is so contagious, it's likely already been spread. Put a mask on and isolate as soon as you can. Open windows and wipe down surfaces. My family got it one after the other and I was the last one to get sick. I am on day 3 and wiped out, with a sore throat and coughing up mucous from my throat and chest. My fever broke yesterday.

Unfortunately it’s been three months and they can get it again.

If others are vaccinated, no one needs to isolate at home except you. If no one else is symptomatic or positive, they can wear a mask and carry on with work and school.

I am the mom and only realized I had it after many days of symptoms but negative tests, day 9 I figured. We did not isolate at all, and my kids never had symptoms or tested positive.

Op, why even bother to test?
