Checking online activity on iPhone

Anonymous
I strongly believe my DD is recording an posting inappropriate videos. I would like to access her phone and check her activity (specially posting things online). Anybody knows any useful software or useful tips? I am very worried and concerned about getting her safe. Thanks

You can block internet usage on iPhone under screen time

Ask for her phone. Look through history. We told our kids we always had the right to investigate, especially if given a reason.

Do you know her Apple ID user name and password?

I know her Apple ID but not her password

I assume you paid for the phone and you pay for the service on the phone. The phone is your property.

You should have full access and all passwords. So get them and check the phone.

An open confrontation to try to get the password will be worse. I am trying to keep her safe without making the situation worse.

That’s where the problem lies. You should definitely put parental limits on it and you set the password. If she changes the password she loses the phone for a week. Simple. Change the password, set parental limits, discuss expectations with her.

No you’re trying to avoid being a good parent, this is part of the job.

I have been advised by her therapist to avoid confrontation, there is a real fear that she could run away. Please be kind

I will be kind.

If she has a phone that you have zero access to and you’re not wanting to put any limits on, there is no way to see what she’s doing.

No Pp is right have experience with parent training for teens in situations like that and the system is failing your child, get the second opinion.

Can you find out where she is posting them and her user ID there? I did some sleuthing to find my son’s Reddit user name when we had concerns.
