Labcorp bloodwork results-how long?

Anonymous
I'm talking about routine tests and not so routine tests-so some should take 24 hours at most, others longer. Quest always sent whatever came in next day even if all results were normal. I called Labcorp and the woman swore the doctor must sign off, but that is not what is on the website or what the phlebotomist said. On the website it states we get them the same day as the doctor. It has been several days. I set up email notification and I go on the website. Do they wait until every single test is in to post? What has your experience been?

My experience is my that my results are sent to my doc as soon as they get them and they're posted to my portal the right away. The most I've had to wait for routine test results is 2 days. I've also received results in chunks. For example I had routine blood work done recently, got the results of 99% of my blood work, the only result that took longer was my Vit D which took an additional day.

I think you need to relax and understand there's a lot going on right now and labs are overwhelmed. You'll get your results within a day or two.

When I had my blood work done with Labcorp about three months ago, I got the results in about 24-48 hours. Several of the tests posted about a day later, 1 or two the following day. They were posted in MyChart and I’m pretty sure I got those at the same time as the doctor, because I got some comments on the results from the doc later. I’ve used Labcorp for years and the results are typically pretty quick.

OP here. Apparently Labcorp will now only give all results at once. They don't do chunks. Everything but one test is in, but they will only post once all are in.

I get all my blood work through Quest. Maybe that's why? That's odd that Labcorp won't release the info as it comes in. I guess you just need to wait which I know is annoying, but what can you do.

Mine was posted to Labcorp's portal and emailed to me 48h after the test last week. (Routine bloodwork.) I know that my own doc had not seen or signed off on it by then.

Half my doctors seem to be on vacation for spring break. Maybe that's a factor with the labs too.
