I used to be one of those moms- until I had another child - BOY - have I learned my lesson!!

Moms who dress their toddler boys in smocked sailor suits.

Oh, and moms who dress their children in matching outfits. It's cute, but a little too much for me!

Face it- no one ever knows what will happen- and your easy baby can be difficult later- al i know is that at least the first year is not truly dictated by their personality etc.- so i gues given two hard first year kids (one of them is still 6 months) - I'd rather have this the hardest time than later on- so far my over 3 year old who was a lack of sleep difficult kid til 3 years is developmentally in par but not as bad!

Yes, and I had the opposite experience. I thought I was the world's worst mother because my first baby hated to sleep and had colic and sleep apnea. Then I had the second baby, and did the same exact things, and guess what - she was easy!

You never know....

Believe me, it may be nothing more than the path of least resistance when #2 demands exactly what #1 has on. You've got to pick your battles!

Okay, sorry! I have to keep the previous post, though, about the sailor suits.

You have to admit that it is annoying when mom wears the matching outfit, too!

Reminds me of growing up in the 80s and 90s - matching Laura Ashley mother/daughter dresses!

Why wouldn't your child grow up to be a bully? Are you teaching your child empathy, and compassion, or just "mine, mine mine"?

I am teaching my child life. She is not allowed to take others toys away, doesn't have a tantrum, never has had one for that matter, because she is taught that she can not have what someone else has. Let me re answer the original question. Mom's that think it is okay for my child to cry so that theirs doesn't.

No, you are teaching your child that she doesn't have to take others into consideration. She can sit in the swing for an hour, while other children loose out on something that is there for them as well. They have equal right to that swing, and setting limits and taking turns is what life is all about. So your child cries, and learns that it isn't all about her. No one is saying take the toy/swing, that is public property, away from your child as soon as another child approaches. You should however set limits to how long your child is hogging something.

I am one of those moms. I can't help it. I think he looks adorable.

I don't like it when toddler boys are dressed in the basketball uniforms and I think baby girls with no hair look silly with those headband bows.

Different strokes for different folks.

Moms who pierce their daughter ears when a baby, like look at my adorable baby! ugh...I find it ridiculous and it just does not look right on a baby. I say let the baby make a decisioin later in life if they want holes poked in their ears!

Also...mom's who stick the babies hair up straight 9on the top of their head) with a barret or rubber band.

and those ridiculous bows mom's put around the babies forehead

BLECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moms who tell me the age of their child in months once the child is past the age of 1. I really don't need to know 28 mths, 33mths, - just say 2, 3, 4, etc.

I can kind of understand doing up to 2 but really whats wrong with just saying the child is 1.5 years.
