Abingdon, a Title I school, had a leaky roof and mice for 20 years while Discovery, a brand new school in a neighborhood of $1M+ houses, has a slide in the middle of the building. How is that fair?

Nope. Niche schools have different teaching methodologies. In APS, neighborhood elementaries don’t vary wildly in what they teach.

Now language immersion or Montessori - definitely niche schools.

Who paid for the slide in the school? I genuinely don’t know. I will say, more affluent schools have greater funds coming in through PTAs, which helps to fund things specific to that school.

Which is why everyone should be freaking out that so many wealthy families are leaving APS.

but how many students can participate at any one time in an ACT 2 class for example?
I have seen no numbers to support the claims that these MS programs - sports or otherwise - are utilized by high numbers of students.
