I just put in an order for some amc stock. Why not! I’m into this sticking it to the man scheme! |
Newbie here. Should we all be doing this? I think I want to. |
Expr is having the same thing happen and it’s earlier in the cycle than GME so get in ASAP! |
Don’t do anything you can’t afford to lose. This is all a crazy speculative bubble of insanity. But if you want to buy in solidarity and you’re priced out of GameStop then go amc/nok/bed bath and beyond |
ha! So true. |
If you believe in market efficiency, the price of Game Stop should go down, it’s going to go the way of Blockbuster. |
This is not true. Physical sales of games have not decreased the way movie rentals have and consoles are selling in huge numbers |
I've basically put the money I'd be willing to take to a casino in AMC/NOK; it's objectively stupid, but I'm happy with my choices. |
To everyone saying they'll be watching with their popcorn, which website are you going to be watching? |
**caveat** but of course GameStop will go down because right now it’s on an insane bubble. But they won’t go bankrupt if they survive covid imo |
Me too! To quote these crazy redditors, to the moon!! |
So just to clarify, the redditors et al who are buying, all they stand to lose are their purchases, correct? So if they bought $10k worth of stock in an effort to drive up the price, that’s all they will lose, yes? They’re not doing any of the other tricks that would expose them to greater losses? |
It’s just a matter of time. . . |
What’s your point? They’ve already won what they set out to accomplish. |
Same. I'm the PP who had some NOK already. Today I added more NOK (which I like anyway) and bought a couple shares of AMC, total cost about $100. The AMC is purely for fun -- surely those who shorted it have learned from today and taken steps to limit their loss? I'm unclear on the prospects for GME after Friday so I'm reluctant to get in. |
