Can you show me the law where one entity/business is required to engage with a specific service provider? Thanks. That’s literally the free market at work.z |
Someone needs to do some research to find out exactly how this disgusting school is guilty.

Google tortious interference. |
Actually, it’s the result of LWNJs thinking they can slander and defame an honest family and business that did absolutely nothing wrong. Turns out, they can’t. Let that be a lesson to you. DP |
Why don’t you familiarize yourself with the basic issues of the case before sharing worthless opinions? |
Um… you do realize that the MAJOR instigator here was the idiot dean, Meredith Raimondo? She is responsible for whipping up the outrage among the students, and encouraging a woke mob to take down Gibsons over false accusations of “racial profiling.” The college stood by Raimondo, and doubled-down on the absurd accusations. Of course they are responsible for ruining this family. Why are you deliberately ignoring the facts of this case? DP |
Yep. Seems some LWNJs refuse to admit when their own have run amok. Oberlin deserves to pay every penny to this family. |
This is why I think the verdict was so large. The jury was sending a message to the college that cooler heads should have prevailed at the top and reigned in the SJW administrators. This whole situation is an illustration of the dangers of the "mob"---whether it be a January 6th mob of insurrectionists attacking the Capitol because of Trump's rhetoric or a group of lefty students being whipped up to attack a long time campus business in the name of racial equity. Three Oberlin students BEAT a local business owner. That is not behavior that can or should be defended by any educational institution. The school could have handled the entire incident very differently and brought the business and the students together for a productive, respective dialogue. Instead, the college administrators whipped up a mob to try to drive a long-time business owner out of business. Oberlin is a tiny town and the college is the 900 lb. economic gorilla. The verdict was the community's statement to the college about the misuse of that economic power. This was an extremely costly lesson. The president of the college should have shut those nutty deans down ASAP. Oh, and out of curiosity---does the free marketeer poster above agree that the NFL owners have every right to use their economic monopoly to blackball Colin Kaepernick from playing pro football because of his kneeling? |
Exactly - the accused were not only guilty, but they ALL admitted this was not “racial profiling.” Incredible that Raimondo and the school never once apologized. Quite the opposite, in fact. DP |
Interesting, the university vigorously disagrees with your assessment: https://www.oberlin.edu/news-and-events/bakery-litigation/10-key-facts |
Amazing how you have that completely backwards. LWNJs insist that POC are victims - even when they’re flat-out guilty. It’s quite a sickness you people have. |
The NFL has a statutory monopoly granted by Congress. That greatly affects labor relations, particularly if owners are acting in concert. You’re comparing apples and iPads. |
+ a million All of this. I think there’s a dopey contrarian on this thread who has nothing better to do than argue. S/he looks idiotic. |
Vigorously? That's basically a "10 reasons we should have won (but didn't)" tik tok post. |

Reading through this thread shows me.....
1. We have way too many people here (or a few very prolific posters) who either don't read linked articles or don't comprehend what they read. 2. We have way too many people here who have no concept of law and what is legal and what is illegal. To those who opine whether "white" is a protected group.... Good God people. You are protected from different treatment on the basis of your race, whether you are White, Black, or some other race. You don't have to have gone to law school to know this. Study, people. |
