Yep. There's a lot of stupid going on in this thread. I would also venture that the stupid PPP has never been to Capitol Hill. |
| Republicans: All about the personal responsibility unless there's an opportunity to take a few cheap shots at Obama. I can't imagine how enraged they would be if Obama had started a war with N. Korea to try to rescue some stupid college kid who went there on a lark. |
A stupid, overeducated, "liberal elite" college kid, with zero common sense, BTW. Who ignored state department warnings. If Obama had taken military action against North Korea, because some over papmper kid bullied a stupid stunt, they would have crucified him. He doesn't, and they are saying he should have literally started a nuclear war. Now, North Korea may or may not have a nuke that can reach California-- although that's liberal elite territory, and not the real US. But they can absolutely hit Soth Korea. Anyone want to inform our Trumpkins who worship the military but know nothing about geopolitics who many US service members would die if a nuke hit Seoul? |
Could you specify which posters on this thread are "Trumpkins"? And how you know they are all Trump supporters? Sometimes I feel like posters use Trumpkins as shorthand for "anyone who disagrees with me". |
How do you know that negotiation didn't start four month ago? |
That you Boris? |
| It makes me angry as hell that the North Koreans would treat an American this way, and I hope they pay a very heavy price for their misconduct. They are the absolute scum of the earth. |
Are Americans scum of earth too? Just curious. Because we detained and tortured innocent men at Gitmo, and those men received nothing close to due process. |
| Obama screwed us over allowing our Military to be in such bad repair (see Mattis' comments on state of readiness today), and not dealing more aggressively with Kim Jong-un/NK. Not to mention billions in cash to Iran, and China stealing state tech secrets and selling them around the world to the highest bidder. |
It started more than four months ago. Just heard a conversation about how this happened. Evidently, Tillerson took the issue to Trump the first 30 days of office. Trump told him to do whatever he needed to do and that he was behind him with resources needed. Tillerson worked with the Swedes. Once it was discovered that he was in a coma (and supposedly has been for a year), the Swedes arranged for a medical team to check him out. Then, US officials talked with N Korean officials in NY. They convinced them to let us air evacuation him. And, that is the story. So, it was a win for diplomacy. This was a priority for this administration. His parents will be on Tucker Carlson tomorrow at 8:00. They will likely share more information about how everything happened and the condition of their son. |
Why wasn't it a priority for Obama? Actual answer please - not some crap about "libtards." |
I don’t know. And, I don’t use that word. Someone should ask him why it wasn't. But, it’s clear that it was a priority for this administration. I’ll be thrilled if they can get the other Americans home. Reports are that it is actually more than 3. Those reports are not confirmed, though. |
+1 |
Nah. Jeremy Corbyn and I are still hung over after celebrating Madame May's inability to hold her majority. |
Huh. That's not what Mattis said. Were you actually listening? |
