Are you find with a trangender teacher teaching your children? What age groups?

A young child in preschool at a private school has decided to come back in the fall for Kindergarten as a girl. The parents in the class were called in for the meeting and told they would need to explain transgender to their rising Kindergarten students. Several of the boys are very upset by this. Several of the parents are upset as they do not have anyone on staff at the school with any experience dealing with this.

When DD was four, she saw an ENT about a nose issue. He suggested pinning her ears back. DH and I discussed it and thought it would send the wrong message--this was only cosmetic. We decided to wait and let her decide when she was older. Guess what? Her ears were never a problem. They really don't stick out. Some may not see an analogy here, but I do. She's grown and has never once complained about her ears.

Wait what is the analogy? A Dr suggested a cosmetic procedure and you decided it wasn't necessary.

Transgendered people choose to transition. It isn't something a Dr decides for them

+1 presumably the kid isn't having surgery now.

There's no evidence this individual is trans, but regardless of whether he is we already have laws that prohibit people from peeping in the restroom. We have those laws because peeping incidents have happened for a long time.

Gay teacher? Of course, no problem. Trans? Never. Absolutely abnormal and disturbing.

I think that issue has been heavily debated with the lgbt community since gender identity issues are are different than sexual identity.

Also trans visibility and trans rights are about 20 or 30 years behind gay rights

We decided it wasn't necessary at that time. And, the doctor was wrong--the ears were fine.

A five year old is awfully young to be making the decision to transition to being the opposite sex. That's the point.

Do you really think any parent would make the choice to support this for their child unless they felt t was absolute integral to the child's mental health, if not their only option?

LGBT rights are all the same. What the hell business is it of your what people have in their pants or what you do in the bedroom if it doesn't have an impact on you? None. Period.

Watch this and tell me you think this little boy's parents are making a bad call: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yAHCqnux2fk

Yes, unfortunately, I do. Look at Angelina Jolie for example. She has created a transgendered child.

Yep. She wanted a transgendered baby, so, over many hours and thoughtfully placed brainwashing hints an strategies, she trained her little girl to want to be a boy! She did this Because...? You're an ignorant, prejudiced dolt. And I don't even like Brangelina.

Because it's great for the tabloids!! Look how liberal and accommodating she looks.

Ha ha. Yeah she needed that extra tabloid coverage I guess - lest anyone think she isn't liberal or "accommodating" whatever the f-- that means. So she decided to manipulate the gander identity of her child -- for People Magazine.

Shhhh PP. go back to Glenn Beck now. You'll be ok, your hate lingering bucket needs to be filled up a little more.

And you, of course, believe every word of it.

Put the can of beer down, honey. You've had enough.

But I also wouldn't be ok with a teacher who has an accident and comes back disfigured or with a lost limb. I wouldn't be ok with a teacher who dies or gets really sick or moves either, because that conversation is too hard. An unmarried pregnant teacher would be a definite "no," as would a gay teacher, but I might add an exception to the gay thing if they left their personal life at home.

We also don't have pets until kids are in high school because if one dies that conversation would be too mature and difficult for my DCs.

I would definitely not be okay with a dead teacher. Although the really old guy who taught my ninth grade world history class might as well have been dead and it didn't traumatize me (although I am reminded daily of my lack of knowledge of world history).

LOL. I also had a terrible world history teacher - didn't learn a thing.
