I'm sorry.

I learned never to share the potential name with anyone. |

PP here who doesn't care for Jax as a given name, but wasn't mean about it. Sorry, OP.
I do really like a PPs suggestion of James Xavier or Jacob Xavier etc. with the nickname Jax. Really nice names. |
| I know someone with a son named Jax. |
I know a little Ajax. He's aweslme!! |
I like Ajax. |
| Nope. |
| Ajax is a powder detergent and also a city in the Ontario (Canada). |
| <-- Province of Ontario, I meant |
| AWFUL don't do it |
Like Jax, Jaxon and Jaxton are made-up names. They are all just awful. I think of a pre-teen girl making her list of favorite names when I hear any of these. |
Yes, but originally it was the name of a Greek hero in the Iliad. |
| In sons of anarchy, jax kills his mother. |
You can still name your kid Jax. At the very least this has prepared you for what people might think of it, so you have to decide whether you can handle that or if it would bother you too much. At the end of the day it's your kid, and if you love a name, you should use it even if I hate it (and I do, sorry). |
Different poster here. I agree. And you know, OP, your kid will make the name his own, and people will look fondly on the name as they associate it with his personality. I felt this way about a kid in my son's class named Vincent. I thought it was such a hard, old fashioned name. But the kid really brings it to life. |
