Millard Fillmore But in all seriousness, many of these "pretentious" names sound British, so there is a lot if horrid stereotyping going on here. I knew an Aussie Penelope who was totally normal, and Americans named Thaddeus and Preston who were also very middle class if not a bit goofy. These were ask acquaintances from high school or college in the 00's. I never thought their names were pretentious; just unusual. |
