FSA Feds claim being denied over and over again....

I’ve never had an issue. but all my claims have been for pretty straight forward medical services (eg therapy copays) and things like contact lens solution from CVS.

You need a literal doctors prescription for many of them. Some things do not require that which you can get from the site. Surprising things actually.

And this works for you with the doctor’s note?

I had a note that did NOT work but I didn’t say a note, I said a PRESCRIPTION. As in, you need a prescription written for Tylenol written on a prescription pad. I wouldn’t even bother trying. Just get the other OTC stuff that doesn’t require a doctor’s letter. For example, a First Aid Kit. You can buy the nicest most extravagant one you can find and be reimbursed with the receipt. FYI: download the APP. It makes it really easy to submit claims for stuff like that.

Actually, Tylenol is one of the few OTC things you do not need a prescription for. Also, they have an app that you can take pictures of your receipt and make claims with. I've had them deny claims too. It's been a bit of a learning curve. I very rarely get things denied now. If you're looking to burn through some money then buy some first aid kits for your cars.

I didn't know until today but the CARES act allows for OTC medication to be claimed without a prescription. This includes pain killers, allergy medicine, cold and flu, antacid, etc. You shouldn't have any problem using your money.
