Paul Ryan and other top GOP say the Obama fix is just an accounting trick that really changes nothing. But then the whole idea of employer sponsored health care is just an accounting trick to make health care cheaper by diverting part of the payroll to buy insurance as an aggregate group. It's still employee compensation, and the GOP/bishops position amounts to saying that employers have a right to tell employees how to spend their salaries.

I wish the GOP leadership and the Catholic bishops would just get a room already. The Church hierarchy is essentially a Super PAC at this point.
