The Carefirst backlog of claims is slowly clearing. Just recently I’ve had both long pending claims and newly placed claims processed. We started experiencing delays like others in January. I made started making calls in March to both Carefirst customer service and my company’s HR Benefits office. It’s still not clear if that had impact or if whatever is wrong at Carefirst is only now becoming unjammed. The lack of communications from either Carefirst or my company’s benefits office was frustrating, for sure.
I hope others are seeing their issues addressed as well. |

The claims we filed since mid April are being processed, but claims filed the first few months of the year remain pending. It is as if they lost track of them or something, even though they are clearly reflected as received on the website. Meanwhile I’m carrying balances on my credit cards. I am so frustrated! |
