I've said nothing about FARmS. Haven't done enough research |
I haven't seen anyone say Western would have a very high FARMS rate. It won't. It will have a higher FARMS rate than Chantilly or Oakton, though. |
not higher than Chantilly--likely between Oakton and Chantilly Why are you so fixated on this? |
I'm not. Why are you trying to wish Coates and McNair out of existence? |
You must not realize that they are already at Carson. |
| I calculated the FARMS rate to be 21.46% with Fox Mill and Crossfield included. |
How? That makes no sense. They are already at Carson which has a lower rate. |
Carson has a very large number of AAP students from Franklin and that population is very low FARMS. |
It's a stretch to think that both Fox Mill and Crossfield will end up at Western. |
And, Oak Hill --which almost certainly will end up there--also has very low FARMS. |
| Crossfield won't be at Western. The PTO and admin have been having meetings at Gatehouse. The P and AP are also involved. |
That is incredibly shady especially if the administration at Crossfield is involved. Guess I will be writing and calling school board members tomorrow. |
Are you serious? They are beyond lacking common sense. Crossfield is closer to it than Oakton. |
| Let’s play a game - guess the FARMS rate of a HS where everyone opted in their kid for AI, Robotics, or Engineering sub-schools. I’m going to with 7%, and a very motivated 7%. |
You may be right, but the discussion has been about what the FARMS rate will be when the permanent boundaries are fully in place, not the initial FARMS rate of the opt-in kids. It's also misleading to refer to "sub-schools." |
