I’m a lifelong Dem and I am appalled by your language. No human person is “garbage”. So many tragedies to process in the last 73 hours. I don’t think “when they go low we go high” I think “let’s stay high”. We need a positive vision for our future. Reject hatred from all sides. No one on this earth is “garbage”. We are all human. I am not Christian or even believe in any God. But I do believe in people. It’s when we give up on them that we lose. |
| Counting thoughts from above. I think it’s perfectly okay to call out the cruelty and corruption Trump is demonstrating in his Presidency. But dismissing people as “garbage” based on their voter registry is bonkers to me. Let’s label who is doing what, rather than the broad attacks that really don’t do any good. |
Every republican who is appalled by trumps corruption, pedophilia, and tasteless, classless daily behavior has already left the party. They are independents now . Really. after all these years of evidence that Trump is the biggest POS human imaginable, it’s totally fine to call republicans awful people. They are. |
DP but I have to choose not to think like this. This nation is going to need healing after this. We cannot continue down this road and hating people isn’t going to make this better. |
It’s been 10+ years of this steady stream of depravity from the right. There is no question around what it means to be a Republican in 2025. I hate them. The world would be better off without them. They are beyond redemption. Human garbage. |
Healing is impossible. Republicans have eroded all trust. Not my job to clean up this sht show that millions of a-holes have forced on us. |
Exactly. |
I have open arms and kind words for anyone who leaves the republican party and admits they were wrong or conned by him, but you will never convince me to be kind to these willfully stupid and cruel people who’ve stayed, no. They are evil. No one with any decency would trust Trump to even water their plants while they’re on vacation. The man is evil and only abusers and sociopaths still like him. |
100% |
At least with my friends and family, I find that the Hillary campaign research estimate that found 50% of Trump supporters to be "deplorables" in some way was right on the money. |

In a rare move, Republican lawmakers criticized President Donald Trump for suggesting the deaths of Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, stemmed from “Trump derangement syndrome.”
Rep. Thomas Massie wrote on X, “Regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, this inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered.” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has become increasingly critical of the president in recent months, wrote on X, “This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies.” Rep. Don Bacon, a retiring Republican, said the comment “was classless,” adding “It’s not something to joke about.” Rep. Stephanie Bice posted on her X account, “We should be lifting the family up in prayer, not making this about politics.” The Oklahoma lawmaker also told a CNN reporter that she had a similar situation happen in her district where a constituent was murdered in a knife attack by his own son. |
NP here. So, help me out here: Tell me why I should “believe” and not “give up” on Trump, Miller, and the rest of MAGA when they view me as being less than fully human — and act accordingly. What should staying “high” look like when ICE tries to assault me? What will you do, lifelong Dem, if they try to assault your child? Your Mum? You? |
| Regarding all the head-scratching over what Republicans could possibly like about Trump: for most I know it us because he actually DOES things. We are tired of the “polite” politicians who talk about things, want to study things, form committees to address things, & have conversations & town halls about things. Most politicians on both sides act like they have all the answers when they are campaigning. But once they take office, they seldom get around to taking decisive action. |
