+1. Sour cream is also important to so many cultures…like most of Eastern European traditional cooking runs on sour cream. How can it be low class?! |
Good point. And I don't eat sour cream nor do I consider it a condiment. |
Get real. You see that because that's who you hang out with and eat with. If you're at a place serving nachos in the first place, that's on you. |
Why? Why is plain yogurt superior? |
What? No Aioli absolutely has egg yolks, olive oil, garlic! You’ve clearly never made aioli. |
Sorry but I’m fit and pretty wealthy. I always eat sour cream with Mexican food. Mexican food is very popular in CA! |
My period must be in its way, all of that sounds divine |
Ah, eastern Europeans, so no more. |
An illegitimate condiment. |
| So many desperate strivers trying to appear "high class" in the most ignorant ways. |
|
Traditional Catalan Aioli IS in fact only garlic and olive oil. More modern recipes include egg, to help with the emulsification. |
It's salad dressing. That's still legal in the US. |

Also confused by this. Yogurt will work as a substitute for sour cream in baking (but you need full fat yogurt) but will not work for say, mashed potatoes. Also, just eat what you like, seriously. Moderation of course but a constant vigilance can't ever eat anything fun diet is unsustainable. |
